Hi! Finally i got the chance to post something on The Shonet for the first time!On this first post, I want to share some of my favorite blush products and I dare to say these products indeed are the best. Well, I'm a big fan of blushes and I can be heavy-handed when it comes to applying a blush LOL. I also got pretty picky about choosing the right blush (well, actually everything).  After years of research, I finally got down to the best 5 yet. I analyzed the pigmentation, blendability, staying power, color selection of many blushes to come up with the following 5. Oh for a bonus, you can already tell by the title everything in here are drugstore and below 150k! *For the sake of this post, I used these different blushes in 5 consecutive days :') hiks. Oh and please forgive me if I used a little too much blush on this photos, It was because I tried to show the true color of these blushes*1. Essence Satin Touch Blush
This is one of the most pigmented blush I've ever tried. You can tell by the picture, I just swiped it for a few times and the color payoff is unbelievable. I'm not saying that it's overly pigmented that it will make you look like a clown, but it definitely has a great color payoff within a few swipes. The blendability is also amazing, it blends really nicely on my skin and stayed forever. You literally don't need to touch up and it will stay on from morning to-night. The blush itself has a slight sheen to it but it's not too obvious, it will only make your cheeks glow 'naturally'. I use the color 'Satin Coral : 10'. Hmm, I'm not sure about the color selection tho, I bought it from Shopee since Essence isn't available in Indonesia yet and it seems there are only two or three color selection. Tbh, the color is one of the drawback for me, Satin Coral can be a lil bit too peachy for my liking sometimes, but it's still really gorgeous tho. The packaging is also the major downside of this product, it's small, cheapish plastic looking and I think it can be quite fragile even tho I've never experienced a fallout before. Oh, I forget to mention that I bought it for 80k.
2. NYX Powder Blush
I love, love this blush. It's pigmented and the blendability is UNREAL. It blends right away and looks really really beautiful on my skin, I'm obsessed! The longevity is really great too, you literally don't need to touch up all day. The color payoff is also amazing, I just swiped it for a few times in the picture. I use the color 'Mauve', it's described as a “matte light mauve.” It's a light, rosy pink with subtle warm undertones and a matte finish. I think this product comes with a lot of different shades and finishes, matte, satin, shimmery and many more. I heard mixed reviews about this product actually, some said it wasn't good, some said the other way around, but I think it's because each color has a different formula than the others. But I love this color specifically, because it's matte and the perfect 'subtle' color for me LOL. I know it seems like I'm wearing a lot of blush, but trust me i'm not wearing this too much blush on daily basis haha. The packaging is also an 'okay' for me, my only complaint is just too small. Oh, I heard they discontinued it in Indonesian Store :(, huu I like this blush more than their new ones (NYX HD Blush). However, you still can buy it on the online marketplace, I checked it on Shopee, it is available for around 85k or so.
3. Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush
This one is my personal favorite among the other four. I use it for my daily makeup because it's the perfect color and formula for me. The color that I use is 'Pearlescent Pink'. It is a warm coral with a frost finish. It has a slight sheen to it but it's not too obvious and it won't emphasizes your pores at all. I know I used a little too much on this photo but then again, i tried to show the true color of these blushes on the cheeks. It's really pretty if you use less that I did in this photo, it will give you a naturally flush and subtle glowy finish. It's pigmented but not as pigmented as the Essence and NYX, it took several swipes to get as in the photo but that's not a big deal for me. The blendability and the staying power are also extraordinary. It blends really well and lasts for a day. I think they have 5 different shades and each color is gorgeous. I don't know if this product is available at the local department store or not, but I'm pretty sure I've seen one in the store before. I personally bought it on *as always* Shopee for around 65k or so. The only thing that I hate about this blush is really really fragile. I literally bought it for the third time in the last 4 months because it kept breaking by itself. I didn't drop it or whatsoever but they decided to keep breaking even tho I've put them safely in my makeup pouch.
4. Milani Baked Blush
Among the other 4, I think this one is the most popular. Every beauty guru has raved about this product. Well, it is a really beautiful blush tho. It's not as pigmented as the other blushes but it's buildable.  It is also not as long-lasting as the others, you definitely need to touch up at least once throughout the day. Other than that, the blendability and color selection are amazing. It blends right away on my skin and they have 10 or 11 color selection. I use the color 'Luminoso', It's described as a warm peach with a pearl finish. It has a fine gold shimmer. Tbh, I'm not the biggest fan of the formula. It can be a little bit too shiny for my liking. For some people it's really gorgeous tho, it will make you look like you naturally glow from within, it's crazy how beautiful it looks. But since I have crazy pores it kinda emphasizes my pores a little bit. So, I normally use this as a blush topper. After I use the Wet n Wild blush, I put a little bit of the Milani on top, but I avoid putting it around my T-Zone. In this photo, I put a little bit loose powder on my T-Zone area to cut down the sheen. The packaging is also a plus point for me. It doesn't break easily or look cheap and it has a mirror!. I bought it *again* from Shopee haha for 130k.
5. Jafra Beauty Long Wear Crème Blush
It's not fair if I don't include any cream blush on this list. This cream blush really popular among our local makeup artists. They usually use this as 'blush dalam' before putting another powder blush on top of it. At first I thought this was a local brand but I was wrong, it was actually an american indie brand. It's really creamy and blends like a dream. The pigmentation is also unreal, a little bit goes a long way but of course it will fade a little bit after you put a powder on top of it. They have 3 different beautiful colors and the color that I use is 'Cashmere Peach', it's literally the perfect color for 'no makeup makeup look'. This also lasts for a long day. I have a mixed feelings about the packaging, it is slim, compact and has a mirror but sometimes it's hard to open the packaging. I bought it from *agaiiin* Shopee haha for around 130k.
Well, that's it. The best 5 Drugstore Blushes for my opinion. All of them are beautiful in their own way and also affordable. I really hope one of them works for you!See you on another post!
