Bridal Beauty

Okay.. It has been too long since my last post. Way too long. The reason being is that, I was a bride last weekend. So you all know what that means! I had such busy month to make sure everything went well. 

To be a bride, it was such a great feeling. Nothing beats it. You are literally pampered by everyone. From makeup to hairstyilng, dresses to shoes, organizers to photographers. All eyes are on you, you are literally the queen and you can be whatever you want on that day without worrying anyone else might judge you. 

My dress was 3 metres long (and this is just the tail). I had a super ball gown. Like a huge one. My bridesmaid worked their asses off on that day to make sure I didn't injure myself lol. And yeah... everyone complimented it. See, no judgement. 

I don't know about any other brides, but, to me, it is amazing. I smiled all day no matter how tiring the day was. No matter how heavy the dress was, I carried those with pride. Not because of the whole pampering, but because I knew I am comitting myself to this one man that I do want to spend the rest of my life with. To touch on the makeup business, dear all makeup artists (including myself), make sure you are ready to handle a bride if you want to offer a service. Bridal makeup or any other makeup to me is the same, depending on what style that you prefer, however, the responsible of handling a bride is huge. You have no room for mistake. You have to make everything happen for the bride. Whatever request that you think is good for them you have to do it. Even if you have to start from a lower price point for your service, do it. As long as you can deliver what they expect. If you do a good job, your name will rise for sure. Don't worry. Word of mouth is the strongest marketing tool. 

I had a chat with my makeup artist who handled my face and hair. She also told me she was nothing. Now she is a successful bride makeup artist. Thank goodness I booked her early lol, or else someone else would take the place. And she also told me one thing, "I only take one bride per day. Some people might have 2 brides. That is completely fine if they can handle it. But to me, I am very prone to stress. So no, I only want to do one bride per day to make sure I can give the best to the brides." I was like... Hands down girl! Definitely an advice that I will take! So, if you are bride or bride to be, congratulations. It should be the happeist day ever of your life. It only happens once :) Do it not because you have paid so much money to it, but because it should be best moment ever. Smile all the way, be happy.
