Review film Ayat-ayat Cinta 2

1. Original Opinion (Thesis)

Ayat-ayat Cinta 2 is the sequel from the sama film’s name Ayat-ayat Cinta in about 2004. This film is adaptation f rom Habiburrahman El Shirazy’s novel. This film make we can more respect to each other. The film directed by Guntur Soehardjanto. It different from the Ayat-Ayat Cinta who directed by Hanung Bramantyo. In my opinion, this film is the great film. Conflict from the story from AAC 1&2 is similar. There is dominated by the teaching of Islam to solve loving problem also to solve problem with another people who have different views (religion,culture and language) The main character, Fahri (Fedi Nuril) is the kindness man who imagine with the pefect character. When I know that Aisya replaced by Dewi Sandra it make my feeling in the film is different. I don’t know why, may it because from the first time Riyanti Cathwrhgt so good to play Aisya’s character. But so far, this film is great, we can learn many things from it.

2. Rating

The rating for this movie is great movie. Why? Since the first time I said that this movie has many positif things, moral value, and more. This movie can continue the succeseed from the first movie. Althought many characters replaced by new characters it still make we remember the first story from this sequel.

3. Cinematography

Visualization from this movie is good. The bright is enough and don’t overdo it. But I feel that the subtitle too little and I cant see clearly.

4. Genre

Genre from this movie is Islamic Movie. This movie teach the audiences (terutama orang muslim) more knowing about love from the teaching of islam. Izharuddin (2017) said that Islamic movie combine by used reading Quran, mosque, vail, niqab(cadar), or islamic boarding as main symbol shows in movie. Beside that, also has representation about islamic ethics used in our behavior.

5. Music and sound

The music is compiled by Raisa, Rossa, Krisdayanti and Payung Teduh. The album’s name is “The Greatest Love Story” . The title from the songs are Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 by KD, Dua Cinta, Harapku by Sarah Saputri, Kamu Tulang Rusukku by Yeshua, Bila Jodohku Kamu by Ryan Ho, Senyawa by Ayudya Bing Slamet, and many more. From the each song has the different feeling and make the atmosphere when we watch this movie is wonderfull.

6. Acting

Acting from the each character is great, because they are the senior actors and actress. The main characters are Fedi Nuril as Fahri the man who has perfect character. Sholeh, rich, kind heart, good person, loving haters and many more. Dewi Sandra as Aisha, Tatjana Saphira as Hulya, and Chelsea Islan as Keira.

7. Direction

The direction from this movie is good. Not to slow or to fast. This movie has double plot. And when the plot backward, it will answer why did happen. The example is Aisha’s face broke. in the last minutes, we will know why Aisha’s face broke. it will explain.

8. Writing style

The writing style is not bored. We can feel so curious from the first time we watch this movie. And the ending cant expected, make our feel like “it impossible”.

9. Editing

The editing is perfect I think. Because I don’t know the process how made this film, I think it good enough for the International movie. And I think this movie also prepared for another state because they make the subtitle in this movie.

10. Setting

The setting AAC 2 happened in many places. The first in Palestina, Jalur Gaza. Although the setting is in Gaza but, crew take the picture in Jakarta and change looks like in Gaza. The second place is Edinburg, Skotlandia. Scotlandia choosed because in the novel Fahri’s House is there.

11. Moral value

We can learn from this movie is “dimana bumi dipijak, disitu langit dijunjung” . however people treat us, whatever it bad or not we’ve to still to be good person. Respect each other especially the older. We have the different culture from another countries. They have to followed the rules in our country, and if we visited their country we must followed their own rules too. We are Islam, moslem. We have to show to them that islam is peace, don’t carried away by the current. Many people want to be provoctor for destroyed our believes, our relationship, and our respect to another.

12. Conclusion

Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 is the movie who directed by Guntur Soehardjanto. The film take in Jakarta, Gaza, and Edinburg. The main character is Fahri, Aisha’s Husband. The story is great and make we curious in every steps. Backsong was singing by the popular singer like Rossa, KD, Raisa, and many more. The genre of this movie is Islamic movie.
