Paskah merupakan rangkaian ibadah untuk mengenang kematian dan kebangkitan Yesus Kristus. Oleh karena itu, lagu-lagu yang dinyanyikan pada ibadah Paskah mengusung tema tentang pengorbanan, kasih karunia, anugerah, dan keselamatan.

Berikut ini beberapa lagu Paskah bahasa Inggris yang kerap dinyanyikan di gereja saat ibadah Paskah.

1. Amazing Grace

Seperti dikutip dari buku Menguji Roh, Eka Darmaputra, (1996:119), lagu Amazing Grace ditulis berdasarkan pengalaman hidup John Newton yang bertemu Tuhan secara pribadi dan merasakan anugerahNya yang luar biasa.

Hymne ini ditulis tahun 1772 dan terus dinyanyikan hingga saat ini. Bahkan sudah diterjemahkan ke banyak bahasa. Berikut ini dua bait lagunya yang paling populer

2. It Is Done

Lagu It Is Done ditulis oleh musisi sekaligus pendeta Indonesia, Sidney Mohede dan Mia Fieldes. Lagu ini dipopulerkan oleh Sidney Moheda dan Darlene Zschech. It Is Done berbicara tentang ucapan syukur atas karya salib dan penebusan Yesus.

Lagu ini ditulis oleh pasangan Bill dan Gloria Gaither saat menghadapi masa-masa sulit dalam hidupnya. Lagu Paskah klasik ini bercerita bahwa kebangkita Kristus membawa hari esok yag penuh harapan.

He lived and died to buy my pardon,

An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Lagu ini dipopulerkan oleh Hillsong Worship. Sebuah tim praise and worship dari Hilsong Church, sebuah gereja raksasa yang terpusat di Sidney dan sekarang sudah menyebar ke seluruh penjuru dunia.

Verse 1:

There was mercy in Your eyes
