LSPR Launches China Strategic Hub for Innovation & Sustainable Partnerships

JAKARTA, 15 July 2026 — LSPR Institute of Communication & Business officially launched the LSPR–China Strategic Hub: Connecting Ideas, Knowledge, and Global Minds, marking a significant milestone in strengthening academic collaboration between Indonesia and China. The launching ceremony was held on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, at the Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium, LSPR Sudirman Park Campus, Jakarta.

Designed as a platform that connects academia, industry, government, and international institutions, the Hub aims to foster impactful research, encourage knowledge exchange, and promote sustainable cooperation between Indonesia and China.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from Mr.Kemal Effendi Gani, Chief of Advisory Board of Pesona Pribadi Sejahtera Foundation, followed by a keynote address from H.E. Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the People's Republic of China.
In his keynote speech, Ambassador Djauhari emphasized that as Indonesia and China continue to deepen their economic, educational, and strategic cooperation, resilient people-to-people relations will become increasingly essential.
“Institutions like the LSPR–China Strategic Hub build something governments alone cannot. They build trust. They build understanding. They build lasting friendships. As Indonesia and China continue to strengthen their partnership, initiatives like this will play an increasingly important role in shaping our shared future,” said H.E. Djauhari Oratmangun.
He also highlighted that the long-term visions of Golden Indonesia 2045 and China Modernization 2035 complement one another, creating opportunities for deeper collaboration in education, technology, innovation, and sustainable development.
A key highlight of the event was the soft launching of a collaborative publication between LSPR Institute and Beijing Normal University, entitled Indonesia and China Under the Belt and Road Initiative: Pathways to Sustainable Partnership. The book explores the evolving economic, educational, and strategic relations between the two countries while presenting opportunities for long-term, sustainable cooperation.
The launch also featured the signing of two strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between LSPR Institute and the Indonesia–China Friendship Association (Perhimpunan Persahabatan Indonesia–Tiongkok), as well as Midea Electronics Indonesia, reinforcing collaboration across academia, industry, and international organizations.
Mr.Kemal Effendi Gani, Chief of Advisory Board of Pesona Pribadi Sejahtera Foundation, stated that the Hub represents more than an international partnership. It is a strategic platform for generating ideas, innovation, and future leaders capable of addressing global challenges.
“The LSPR–China Strategic Hub is built on the pillars of connecting ideas, knowledge, and global minds. Through this platform, together with the launch of our collaborative publication and strategic partnerships, we aim to create a dynamic ecosystem where universities, associations, industries, and governments from Indonesia and China can work together to develop sustainable solutions, promote academic excellence, and prepare future generations to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world,” said Mr. Kemal Effendi Gani.
The launch of the LSPR–China Strategic Hub further strengthens LSPR Institute’s position as a globally connected higher education institution that actively contributes to international dialogue, cross-border collaboration, and the advancement of education in support of sustainable development.
