Among gen z nowadays, many of them have decided to go childfree. There are several factors that influence them to make this decision, especially economic factors and social factors. This greatly affects the circumstances in which someone chooses childfree. Both factors have several reasons why they make this decision.
In economic factors, a person or couple's decision not to have children is influenced by the high cost of living, expensive health and education costs for children, and economic and work imbalances that make a person think twice before deciding to have children. In addition, the country's worrying economic conditions, evidenced by high inflation rates coupled with significant financial burdens can cause anxiety and stress in the long run, and affect the overall quality of life for families.
