American man arrested with bullets at Bali airport

BADUNG, - An American man has been arrested at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport for carrying bullets. From the man, who is dentified only as DT, police seized 31 bullets and two magazine.
Airport Police chief, Comr. Agung Raka Nugraha, confirmed the incident, saying that DT was still being questioned. “We still doing investigation over the case,” Agung said.
DT was caught bringing bullets by the airport’s aviation security on Sunday night, March 30. General Manager of the airport, Haruman Sulaksono, said DT should be a passenger of Garuda Indonesia GA-870 flight to Incheon, South Korea. However, he failed to catch the flight following the discovery.
“Aviation security has arrested a passenger bringing dangerous goods, 31 bullets and 2 magazine, on Sunday night,” Haruman explained.
It was began when the aviation security found suspicious things when his luggage passed through scanner in the international departure area. Aviaton security conducted further searching to his belongings, and finally find 31 active bullets were found inside two magazine in his black suitcase.
DT has been handed over to airport police station for further investigation. To the police, DT said that he doesn’t know that he should report for bringing the bullet. He said that earlier he bring it from the US without any problem.(kanalbali/KR12)
