Russian Filmmaker to shoot in Bali

JEMBRANA, kanalbali.com - As the world tourism destination, Bali has attracted many filmmaker to shoot their movies in Bali. Currently, a Russian filmmaker is filming a comedy movie in Bali.

The comedy movie will feature Yehembang beach in Jembrana Regency, an approximately 90 km west of Denpasar. It takes around three hours to travel from Denpasar by car.

The movie filming has been conducted on Sunday. The filming, that involving tens of movie crews, will be held within next several days.

It is informed that the storyline of the movie was about a journey of a correspondent who decided to travel to Bali and start the adventure. The correspondent enjoyed Bali’s natural landscape in a traditional village.

Some local villagers of Yehembang village are participated in the filming. They were dressed in Balinese simple attire that showed Bali’s past time. However, none of them know how much they will be paid.

“I don’t now how much money they will give me. However, they said we will get sallary,” said Nyoman Mawa, local villager who involve in the filming. Mawa said he participate in the filming because many village also doing so.

Yehembang village chief, I Made Semadi, said that the filmmaker have legal permit from the government. “They has also send the letter to us with the ministry letter as attachment. I hope it will runs smoothly,” Semadi said. (kanalbali/KR7)
