The Avengers enliven Indonesia's Presidential Election

BADUNG, kanalbali.com - The avengers is in the town! They will enliven the presidential election on April 17, with a special mission : fight against single use plastik.

However, they are not coming from America. They will only appear in a form of pictures that are showcased in a polling station, thanks to Balinese community initiative in Badung, Bali.

It was a group of traditional community in Sempidi, Badung, that initiated the idea to present the super hero group at the voting day. A unique polling station TPS 10 at Banjar Ubung, Sempidi, Badung regency become more festive because of the avengers.

The community called the polling station as anti single use plastic area. The polling station, indeed, was not only designed to make more people enthusiast to come and vote. The organizer also try to send environment message to all voters. Therefore, all voters will get shopping bag.

“This avengers are made to make voters more enthusiast to come. Thorugh these superhero, we tried to tell people to always try to be hero on minimizing single use plastic,” local leader Putu Wardana said. (kanalbali/KR12))
