China Southern Airlines Counters Move to Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport

As of May 19, China Southern Airlines and its affiliated Chongqing Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, and Hebei Airlines will all move their counters to the new Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. When taking any flight operated by the aforementioned airlines, please go to Terminal 2 for check-in.

China Southern Airlines will comprehensively upgrade its ground services in Terminal 2. Self-service check-in will now be supported, making it easier for passengers to begin their travels. Self-check-in kiosks will be available at each check-in aisle for passengers to print their boarding passes. If passengers have baggage to check in, self-service baggage check-in kiosks will be available at Aisles H and L.

For counter service check-in, China Southern Airlines passengers can go to Aisles E, F, and G for domestic flights and Aisle P for international flights. First class, business class, SkyPearl economy class passengers, China Southern Airlines gold/silver members and SkyPriority members can go to counters at Aisles C and D for domestic flights and Aisle Q for international flights.

New facilities at Terminal 2 provided by China Southern Airlines will offer passengers with high quality transit services. Passengers transferring from a mainland China flight to another domestic destination via Guangzhou can proceed directly to the boarding gates on the same floor. Passengers transferring to an international flight should go through customs inspection and border control. Transiting passengers are not required to go through security checks again.

Inbound international passengers flying with China Southern Airlines and transferring to a China Southern Airlines domestic flight via Guangzhou can enjoy the check-through service; they can complete check-in for both departure airport and transit airport (Guangzhou) in one step at their original departure airport.

When transferring at Baiyun Airport Terminal 2, they will not need to collect their baggage or go to transit counters; they can simply wait for the background baggage check confirmation at the designated waiting area before proceeding through the security check for their subsequent flight. Passengers only need to collect their baggage at their final destination airport. This convenient transit service is available for all 53 international air routes traveling through China Southern Airlines’ Guangzhou hub.
