PerbesarAjang penghargaan game tahunan The Game Awards kembali digelar. Untuk edisi 2023, game Baldur's Gate 3 membawa pulang banyak piala di perhelatan kali ini.
Baldur's Gate 3 sendiri merupakan game bergenre RPG (Role-Playing Game) yang dikembangkan oleh Larian Studios untuk PC dan konsol (PS5 dan Xbox Series X/S). Game ini sudah resmi meluncur versi lengkapnya pada 3 Agustus 2023, yang sebelumnya menjalani masa uji coba early access sejak 6 Oktober 2020.
Baldur's Gate 3 dinobatkan sebagai Game of the Year di The Game Awards 2023, yang digelar di Los Angeles, California, AS, pada Jumat (8/12) WIB. Selain Game of the Year, game ini juga memboyong penghargaan kategori Best Performance, Best Community Support, Best Multiplayer, dan Best RPG.
Selain Baldur's Gate 3, game Alan Wake 2 dan Forza Motorsport juga mendapatkan penghargaan lebih dari satu. Piala yang didapat Alan Wake 2 adalah Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, dan Best Art Direction, sementara Forza Motorsport membawa pulang penghargaan Innovation in Accessbility dan Best Sports / Racing.
Sementara itu, game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 malah gak memenangkan satu pun penghargaan. Padahal game besutan Insomniac Games dan Sony Interactive Entertainment itu masuk tujuh nominasi kategori.
