'Sekiro' Raih Gelar Game Terbaik 2019 di The Game Awards
PerbesarPengembang game FromSoftware saat ini tengah berbahagia. Salah satu game hasil kreasinya, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, berhasil memenangkan penghargaan 'Game of the Year' alias game terbaik 2019.
Selain Game of the Year, Sekiro yang diterbitkan oleh Activision ini juga membawa pulang gelar untuk kategori game terbaik di genre Action/Adventure.
Kedua penghargaan ini didapat di ajang The Game Awards 2019 yang berlangsung di Microsoft Theater yang berlokasi di Los Angeles, AS, pada Kamis (12/12) waktu setempat. Sekiro berhasil mengalahkan para nominator lainnya, seperti game Residen Evil 2, Control, hingga Death Stranding.
Sekiro bukan satu-satunya game yang membawa pulang lebih dari satu penghargaan di The Game Awards 2019. Ada game Death Stranding buatan Kojima Productions yang meraih tiga gelar. Sementara game Disco Elysium garapan ZA/UM bahkan memboyong empat gelar sekaligus.

The Game Awards sendiri merupakan ajang penghargaan tahunan di industri game yang digagas oleh jurnalis game asal Kanada, Geoff Keighley. Seremoni yang diadakan setiap bulan Desember ini sudah berlangsung sejak 2014.
