Ayat-Ayat Cinta Movie’s Review

This movie entitled Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 that directed by Guntur Soehardjanto. Scenario by Alim Sudio and Ifan Ismail. This movie adopt by Habiburrahman El Shirazy’s novel. This movie producers by Manoj Punjabi and Dhamoo Punjabi.

Based on my original opinion this movie continues from the movie before, that talk about Fahri Abdullah (Fedi Nuril) alone live in Edinburgh with his assistant Hulusi (Pandji Pragiwaksono). Fahri lost Aisha seven month ago, when Aisha became a volunteer in Gaza. Since that time, Fahri never heard about Aisha’s news.

Fahri sadly to wait Aisha. He busied as a lecturer and a success entrepreneur. Fahri as a lecturer substitutes Charlotte Professor. One of the senior lecturer in Edinburgh University that given philology lesson. Fahri also attendance a Misbah (Arie Untung), a close friend that stay with his.

Fahri often confronted about neighbors problem with the differences. A grandmother from Yahudi, Catarina (Dewi Irawan) that has a problem with her stepchild. Keira McGills (Chelsea Islan) is a violinist that hate toward Fahri, because he reputed as a terrorist that their father’s death cause bomb in London.

Fahri tried to keep Aisha’s promise in order to help the people in surrounding area. This good intention often made misunderstand then drag to complex problem and endanger his life. Fahri’s life became more complex. Indecision thought about married. He busied to prepare debating about Israel material, Yahudi and Amalek. The raising conflict when Fahri invites on Oxford Debating Union that discuss about religion. Hulya (Tatjana Saphira) Aisha’s cousin growth a beautiful girl. Hulya would be continued her post graduated Philology same major with Fahri.

Hulya has cheerful and dynamic characters that show her anxiety toward Fahri. Hulya be ready to substitute Aisha’s role in Fahri’s life. But Fahri still doubt to open his heart to Hulya. It’s same he recognized that Aisha pass away. Fahri hoped in his every night that Aisha came back in his life. All of them supported Fahri to continue his life with Hulya, included Sabina (Dewi Sandra) a derelict woman with flaw face that accommodated by Fahri to live with them. Sabina reputed as Fahri’s sister. She just not helps but take care of Fahri’s house, but she can make Fahri to be continue his life. Fahri was merry with Hulya. In the wedding party Sabina can’t survive that Fahri’s was merry with Hulya. She run out then remember the past life while fiddle the violin. Catarina who is a grandmother known about Sabina’s felt that she was known Sabina is Aisha when Sabina pray not use her veil. Sabina broken heart showed this situation. Hulya pregnant after married with Fahri.

Once upon a time they go to something place then rest to gas station that Hulya permit to toilet with Aisha. Suddenly, in the way meet Bahadur. Bahadur would be kill Aisha. Hulya tried to fight then fall down. Aisha change to fight but also fall down till her veil open then Hulya and Bahadur known that she is Aisha. But Hulya stabbed by Bahadur. Bahadur still would be stab Aisha but Fahri was coming to fight. When Bahadur would be stab Fahri there are some policeman come then shot to Bahadur. Hulya brought to hospital. Fahri known that she is Aisha then Aisha told about her position the past event. Their child was born named Umar. Hulya made some promise take care to Fahri and raise Umar as Aisha’s own child which reconstruction Aisha’s face just for Umar in order to seen her mother who is Hulya. Finally, Fahri reunited with Aisha. Aisha is Fahri’s everlasting love. Their life became happy ending.

Based on my perception the movie’s rating has four stars from five stars. This movie got 200.000 viewers on the gala premier show.

I think that the cinematography is good enough. The cameramen take the pictures with the suitable angel. But, some part of scene with out of focus, the lighting still unstable and too dark. In the other side, the pictures still too bright, make it’s not clear. There are some close shoots still too far. Some scenes skip it doesn’t support toward the scene before it.

Drama is the movie’s genre. They more focused on love life toward the characters. In other sides, this movie comparison with drama, family, funny, life, relationship, religion, review, sequel, spoiler, thought, fighting, etc.

The music sound based on action in every character. On the lesson action the music stopped automatically. The music always on if the character shown their action, such as: battle, judging, humorous, sad, happy etc. Soundtrack album launched on December 4, 2017 by Indonesian musicians. Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 movie used song from Rossa entitled Bulan Dikekang Malam, Krisdayanti - Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2, Isyana Sarasvati - Masih Berharap, Raisa - Teduhnya Wanita, Payung Teduh - Diantara Pepohonan, Sarah Saputri - harapku, Yeshua - Kamu Tulang Rusukku, Ryan Ho - Bila Jodohku Kamu, Dengarkan Dia - Bersenyawa, and Cassandra - Cinta Bukan Milik Kita. I think that overall the backsound have been suitable with the action, but in some parts still loudly to disturb the scene.

Based on my perception the acting in the first scene there are some dialogue interaction inter-cast seen clumsy because the dialogue less natural. For example: A character spoken, then B as soon as received, there is no rest inter-dialogue. But as far as the movie run, interaction inter-cast so good and flexible. Especially, this movie has many professional actors and artists. I think no doubt from their acting.

Ayat Ayat Cinta 2 is the second movie that successful on 2008 ago. This movie continues from the movies before this. This movie answered to novel lovers because still save enigma unanswered in the first novel. This book became 10 best seller till now. Syuting processes around fifty days. This movie take in the foreign country cause based on novel that Fahri lived in there.

This movie directed by Guntur Soehardjanto. The progressive plot is dominant in this movie. The characters act more progressed in every scene. But, there is flashback in the last scene which Ms. Aisha explained the reason why she just wanted to make sure that Fahri move on. She just would to see Fahri’s happiness. Aisha can no longer be Fahri’s wife that she broken. She retell to Fahri about her life in Gaza.

The style of the script’s writing is beautiful, the plot is nice. The script writer can make the viewer understand what the message that will be showed.

I think that the editing is good enough. The scene continued with the action.

This movie’s setting included place, time and situation.

Place: Gaza, Palestine, Scotland, London, Budapest, Oxford, Edinburgh University, Agnina’s mini market, Mosque, jail, Fahri’s house, park, AFO Boutique, Agnina Halal Resto, Stoneyhill Grove, etc.

Time: Gala Premiere this movie degreed on December 7, 2017 in XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta. This movie releas on December 21, 2017. Read process started on Saturday, August 5, 2017 till fifty days.

Situation: The situation based on the conversation every character. In fact, they are deeply toward the characterization. There are some situations, such as: happy, sad, humorous, strain, battle, judging, war, etc.

The moral values from this movie:

- Live in foreign country must be complete and help to each other.

- Always appreciate in some belief differences to each other.

- Don’t judge the people if you don’t know about their background.

- Defend your arguments if make the situation to be better.

- Be honesty is the most important to our life.

I think that Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 movie included in Okay Movie. From this movie we can get some lesson such as the meaning of life, struggle of lecturer who would to change his life into a better person and continue his new life, and also we can get the message from the different belief we must appreciate toward the others.
