The South Korean government is known to invite celebrities and K-Pop idols to get involved in their important events. For the Korean Government, inviting celebrities as brand ambassadors and representing their country is already considered a part of cultural exchange.

One of the K-Pop idols that often appear in several government events is SHINee's Minho. He was elected several times to represent South Korea in government events.
