Neck Deep adalah band pop-punk dari Wrexham, Wales, Britania Raya yang dibentuk pada 2012 oleh Ben Barlow dan Lloyd Roberts. Makna lagu A Part Of Me Neck Deep mengisahkan tentang perasaan seseorang ketika sedang jatuh cinta namun sayangnya mereka harus berpisah.

Awalnya, Neck Deep hanya beranggotakan dua orang yakni Ben Barlow, sang vokalis dan Lloyd Roberts, gitaris. Selanjutnya, band berkembang dengan bergabungnya rhytmist Matt West, yang juga pernah menjadi personel Spires dan Dani Washington (drumer), Fil Thorpe-Evans, (bassist), dan Climates.

Lagu pertama yang mereka ciptakan dan diunggah ke internet, berjudul What Did You Expect? pada 19 April 2012. Saat itulah nama Neck Deep diperkenalkan. Neck Deep sendiri diambil dari lirik lagu berjudul Boom, Roasted dari band bernama Crucial Dudes.

Selama kariernya, Neck Deep telah mendapatkan dan memenangkan tiga penghargaan seperti dari Kerrang! Awards dengan menyabet Best British Newcomer. Selain itu mereka juga mereka memenangkan penghargaan Best Live Band di ajang penghargaan APMAs. Neck Deep juga dinobatkan sebagai Best British Band oleh Rock Sound Awards.

Makna lagu A Part Of Me Neck Deep berkisah tentang seorang pria yang kadang-kadang teringat mantannya, perasaan cinta terhadapnya, dan bagaimana hubungan mereka berakhir. Kini, ia berusaha untuk tidak lagi terluka karenanya.

Sepanjang lagu, ada kontradiksi yang berulang antara penulis lagu dan gadis yang dibicarakannya. Pada bait pertama, tertulis ia akan "melanjutkan hidup dan melupakannya" namun di bagian refrain tertulis “ia tidak akan pernah melupakan gadis itu dan dia akan selalu menjadi bagian dari dirinya”.
