Unique facts. Over five years, Singapore has been the world's most priciest city ahead of New York, London, and Los Angeles. Which those three cities didn’t even included in the list of the top 10 priciest places according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) Worldwide Cost of Living 2018 survey.
Apparently, New York and Los Angeles slipped onto the 13th and 14th positions, that was caused by the weakening of U.S. dollar in 2017.

In the annual ranks of EIU, three out of ten cities are from the Southeast Asia. First place on the rank board is occupied by Singapore, then Hong Kong which is ranked in fourth position, as well as Seoul on the seventh.
The ranks are based by the comparison of 150 items prices in 133 cities around the world, such as wine, cigarettes, petrol, and bread.
