Pengertian Announcement Text
Announcement text adalah suatu pernyataan tertulis untuk umum. Ini juga bisa didefinisikan sebagai kata-kata formal yang memuat informasi tentang suatu peristiwa yang telah terjadi atau akan terjadi sehingga masyarakat umum mengetahui tentang apa, kapan, dan di mana.
Isi announcement text bisa berupa suatu fakta, kejadian, event, atau informasi yang dianggap penting. Misalnya, pengumuman mengenai lomba kebersihan antar kelas yang ada di mading (majalah dinding) sekolah.

Struktur Announcement Text
Struktur announcement text terdiri dari tiga, yakni opening (pembukaan), content (isi), dan closing (penutup). Berikut penjelasan selengkapnya.
1. Opening/Pembukaan
Opening merupakan bagian pembuka pada announcement text. Bagian opening secara umum akan berisi judul/tipe acaranya, salam pembuka, tujuan dibuatnya pengumuman tersebut, dan garis besar informasi yang akan disampaikan.
2. Content/Isi
Content merupakan bagian isi pada announcement text dan menjadi inti dari teks ini. Bagian content sering juga disebut dengan explanation.
Bagian content berisi informasi lengkap mengenai hal yang ingin disampaikan kepada khalayak umum melalui pengumuman tersebut. Bagian ini harus menjawab pertanyaan apa, di mana, kapan, dan bagaimana.
Misalnya, kamu ingin mengumumkan event ulang tahun, berarti bagian content-nya harus berisi tentang waktu dan tempat pelaksanaan acara, serta ketentuan lain mengenai acara, seperti dresscode.
3. Closing/Penutup
Terakhir, yaitu bagian closing atau penutup pada announcement text. Bagian ini berisi imbauan dan tambahan informasi lainnya, seperti contact person yang bisa dihubungi terkait pengumuman tersebut.
Pada bagian ini, kamu bisa juga mencantumkan website atau social media dari event yang diumumkan. Jangan lupa pula ucapan terima kasih dan salam penutup.
