German Man nabbed for stealing T-shirt

GIANYAR, kanalbali.com - A German man was nabbed on Saturday (16/2) for stealing a T-shirt in a shop in Ubud. QG, 20 years old, was caught soon after he trying to escape from the shop with the T shirt he stole.

The incident was happened at around 11 am on Saturday, at Lost Paradise shop, Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud, Gianyar.
Ubud police chief, Com. Nyoman Nuryana said that the perpetrator came to the store at around 10.30 am. The perpetrator choose some T shirt at the shop and bring it to fitting room. Later on, he choose to buy one T shirt, pay it at the cashier for Rp 600,000.
After he pay the T shirt, one of the staff at the store realized that one T shirt has been missing. The store staff feel suspicious as the perpetrator brought some T shirt to the fitting room.

"The staff asked the perpetrator whether he know where the other T shirt are. But the perpetrator suddenly run away to escape," Nuryana said.
Once QG escape from the store, the staff are shouting "thief... thief". People around the store tried to chase him. "The perpetrator had throw away the T shirt he stole from the store when he was chased by people," Nuryana said, adding that the perpetrator have finally been caught by people aroud the area.
To the police investigator, QG admitted that he tried to steal the T shirt. He said that he took the chance to steal it at the fitting room. He took three T shirt to the fitting room. "He hide one of the T shirt inside his bag," he said.

However, QG is glad as the store management decided to leave QG free from any charge. Police decided to release him after there was a peace statement made by QG and the store management. "As victim, the store management decided to forgive the perpetrator and asked police to stop the case," Nuryana said. (Kanalbali/KR12)
