Folkore merupakan sarana belajar bahasa Inggris yang baik bagi anak-anak. Berikut adalah cerita dongeng bahasa Inggris yang populer karena selalu ada di buku-buku cerita.
1. The Race of The Mouse Dear (Kancil) dan The Turtle
On a hot Sunday, the mouse deer challenged the turtle to a running race. The turtle nodded. The mouse deer immediately appointed 2 rabbits to be the judges.
The atmosphere of the forest was immediately excited. The audience was lined up along the race track. Once the race started, the mouse deer mouse immediately ran away. 10 meters from the finish line, the deer suddenly stopped and took shelter.
The mouse deer intended to rest for a while while waiting for the turtle who was far behind. Not long after, the mouse deer fell asleep.
The mouse deer woke up when suddenly heard the cheers of the audience because the turtle had reached the finish line.
2. The Ugle Duckling
On a farm, a mother duck rejoices as her eggs hatch. But to her surprise, the mother duck found one child that was different.
It was gray, while its siblings were yellow. The duckling was often teased for being ugly. The duckling often walked with its head down in shame. As a result, he was separated from his family and lost.
The duck wandered for a long time until it finally grew up and its feathers turned white. By chance, the duckling met a creature similar to himself.
That's when the duck found out that he was not a duck, but a swan whose eggs rolled and were incubated by a mother duck.
