PerbesarTKA (Tes Kemampuan Akademik) diadakan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah untuk mengukur kemampuan akademik siswa dalam beberapa mata pelajaran wajib. Termasuk di dalam kompetensi tes ini adalah mengerjakan soal TKA bahasa Inggris SMA.
Pada mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris, TKA menguji pemahaman siswa secara tekstual. Di sini, siswa diharapkan mampu memahami informasi yang eksplisit, mengelompokkan, menyusun ulang, dan menyajikan ulang informasi yang eksplisit dari teks bahasa Inggris.
Siswa juga akan diuji pemahaman inferensialnya, yaitu mampu menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan informasi tersirat dalam teks bahasa Inggris, pengalaman yang dialami, serta intuisi untuk memahami isi teks.

Still, he never accepted his defeat. Every year, he tried again to attack, and this is how monsoons came to Vietnam.
